What we provide
We bring the voice and the saxophone. The rest of the band comes in a box, so you get a full sound without the cost, space or fuss of a five-piece.
From the finest jazz and swing standards to light bossa nova for dinners and receptions, through to upbeat pop, dance, soul and disco when the party takes off.
Our set-up is portable, takes very little space and is ready in about 15 minutes. We bring our own transport and equipment, so there's nothing extra for you to hire.
Public liability insurance up to £10 million and PAT-tested equipment, so we meet even the strictest in-house venue regulations.
Our combined 20 years of performing means a tailor-made service and clear communication from your first enquiry to the last song of the night.

About us
Sylvia Schmidt and Seb Sylas met while studying Jazz Performance at Middlesex University in 2011. Since graduating they have worked together and individually across jazz, swing, pop, funk, R&B and disco, most notably with Between the Lines Premier Jazz Band and Blue Swan Ensemble.
Clients kept asking for just the front line, voice and saxophone. So we built a duo where the rest of the band comes in a box.
With a solid stage presence and a feel for the room, we can softly soothe the atmosphere or get your guests dancing. We listen first, and we'd love to hear about your event.
